Aishwarya Rai Cannes and her memories with Cannes international film festival
Aishwarya Rai has a special place for Cannes in her life. The Bollywood queen Aishwarya Rai has been a regular celebrity at Cannes red carpet since many years. The first visit of Aishwarya Rai Cannes was due to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Devdas” in 2002. The promotion of Devdas in Cannes caught the blue eyed beauty so much that she is now in the fan club of Cannes festivals. Though the appearance of Aishwarya in her first visit in Cannes festival was unbelievable for many fashion police there. The inappropriate dressing combined her hideous green sari with chappals as the footwear. However in spite of such fashion disaster Aishwarya Rai Cannes visit gave her the honor of attending the festival as the jury member on the following year. Thereafter Cannes has a reservation for Aishwarya Rai who represents India very well on the carpet.

Aishwarya Rai presence in Cannes 2009 was controversial because of Sonam Kapoor also being part of L’Oreal brand and was initially placed to represent India as a L’Oreal endorser in Cannes but Aishwarya kept her pace by explaining that she is the international face of L’Oreal and flaunted the Cannes with her prestigious appearance. Aishwarya Rai with her hubby Abhishek Bachchan showed the interaction very well.
On the very first day of Cannes 2009 Aishwarya showed her magic in a Roberto Cavalli strapless off shoulder white gown paired with a pink Swarovski clutch which she wore for the screening of the animated film Up by director Pete Docter. Though her hair was not complementing her outfit too much but her smile compensated for it. At the carpet she was along with Elizabeth Banks who was in Red gown and the combination of such beautiful women on carpet altogether sizzled the media. Besides Aishwarya Rai, other Bollywood stars who were expected for the event were Hrithik Roshan, Sonam Kapoor and the Kambakht Ishq team.

63rd Cannes 2010 was a much awaited event for Indian stars too. Aishwarya as usual looked gorgeous in a pastel gray-lavender colored Ellie Saab slightly off shoulder gown of tulle and mousseline when arrived with Eva Longoria at the screening of Robin Hood Premiere Show. The net work was not only amazing but the way it stood out with Marge Simpson hairstyle was amazing. However the shock appearance of another celebrity with same color dress and hairstyle was the twist factor there. Kate Beckinsale not only had the some what same color gown but the hair style was just like Aish’s.
