Aishwarya Rai is one among the few actors who got the chance to do all kind of roles to bring the versatility factor in acting. Aishwarya Rai had done various kinds of roles ranging from playing a pampered girl in her first movie to an Indian maharani in Jodha Akbar. But the role she got in Robot (2010), a big budget movie opposite south Indian super star Rajnikanth was not only unusual but appreciating.
Aishwarya Rai in Robo played a character of Sana, a medical student whose love interest Dr. Vaseegaran, a robotic professor played by Rajnikanth makes a robot named Chitti who too get involved in Sana and give birth to a love triangle between him, professor and Aishwarya. The triangular love story comes to a point where Chitti get destroyed by the professor.
Aishwarya Rai in Robo not only looked gorgeous but acted equally well. Initially it was believed that all the attention would be focused to Rajnikanth playing two main leads but all the bluffs got evaporated when people saw the gorgeous yet extraordinarily beautiful Aishwarya Rai in the movie. Robot became the biggest science fiction Indian movie and Aishwarya got many positive critic reviews like; Anupama chopra of NDTV called Aishwarya Rai a Barbie doll; while Aniruddha Guha, of Daily News and Analysis claimed Aish’s performance in Robot better than all her past ones.
Aishwarya Rai in Robot despite having no strong scope in script became successful in leaving an ever lasting impression on the audience and its credit not only goes to her incredible acting but also to the fresh and new look she carried. Manish Malhotra bagged many awards for the exceptionally well created costumes and outfits Aishwarya wore in the movie including the metallic robot outfit ones she wore in the promo song.

The movie had the major star cast of Shahrukh Khan, Madhuri Dixit and Aishwarya Rai with Jackie Shroff in a small appearance. What made the movie so special was Aishwarya Rai in a role of Paro and Madhuri Dixit as Chandra Mukhi.
Though all the actors are equally known ones but who was the most appreciated from the movie was Aishwarya Rai. No offence to Madhuri and Shahrukh but if you see the pictures of Aishwarya Rai in Devdas you will surely agree. From all Aishwarya Rai Movies, we think this one is the best performance by her.
